When working with patients, it’s important to remember one key fact: you have zero control over their choices.
You can’t force them to participate, change, or engage in therapy.
What you can control is your own approach—your thoughts, attitudes, actions, and responses.
As a role model, you demonstrate positivity, patience, and encouragement.
You teach and provide tools that help patients make their own decisions.
You inspire change, but you can’t force it. Focus on being the best version of yourself, and the impact will follow.
