23 Voices That Show Why Recreational Therapy Changes Lives
What do recreational therapists love most about their work?
During our January giveaway, we asked one open-ended question:
“In one sentence, what do you love most about being a recreational therapist?”
Twenty-three recreational therapists responded, and their answers paint a clear picture of what makes recreational therapy so powerful. The themes that emerged highlight why recreational therapy is uniquely positioned to improve quality of life through connection, creativity, and purposeful leisure.

Improves quality of life
This is why recreational therapists love what they do—and why recreational therapy deserves recognition, advocacy, and support.
