It sounds like a scene from Mean Girls.
Regina George steps into the street and—BAM.
The bus test is a real question leaders sometimes need to ask:
What happens to an organization if its leader suddenly isn’t there?
I’ve been thinking about that question for Rec Therapy Today.
Someday I’ll retire. And, hopefully much later, someday I won’t be here.
But the mission shouldn’t end with me.
Rec Therapy Today exists because we believe recreational therapy matters.
We want RTs to keep learning, growing, innovating, and changing lives.
So I’m beginning to think about the next generation of RTT.
Who might someday want to carry it forward?
I’m not simply looking for someone who could run a website or sell continuing education.
I’m interested in people with vision.
People who understand why Rec Therapy Today exists.
People who believe in the healing, transformational power of recreational therapy.
Maybe that’s you.
The bus isn’t coming anytime soon, I hope.
But the mission should be built to outlive the person who started it.
