Clients with Generalized Anxiety Disorder often bring worries and tension into recreation sessions. Recreational therapists can make a big impact by structuring predictable routines, offering grounding activities, and teaching stress-management techniques like deep breathing or progressive muscle relaxation. Gentle physical activities such as yoga or nature walks can reduce both physical and mental tension. By providing clear instructions and fostering a supportive group culture, RTs help clients practice coping skills that transfer into daily life.
