Position: Recreation Assistant
Salary: $17-$19/hr
Duties: IMCC is seeking a Full Time Recreation Assistant (RA) that will be responsible for day to day activities of participants in large groups, small groups and as individuals to help meet their psycho-social needs. The RA will also assist in planning and engaging early stage dementia individuals virtually through our virtual programming. The RA will be responsible for helping to assess the group needs of the participants in the mid-stage and late-stage programs, plan activities in coordination with the Director of Recreation (DR), and implement and evaluate activities for future planning. The RA will work with the Recreation Coordinators and Assistants to implement activities and monitor the participant’s engagement., as well as helping to develop, implement and facilitate programs. The RA is also responsible for fostering a team-focused environment as well as practicing Person Centered Care for all participants in their programming and care needs.
Requirements: CTRS preferred. 1-2 yrs dementia and programming experience.
