Position: Asst/Assoc Professor and Program Director – Therapeutic Recreation (76647)

Duties: Regis, a leading Catholic university in Greater Boston, is devoted to the academic preparation of students with the goal of developing future professionals who will lead, serve and inspire. The School of Health Sciences is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and experienced individual to lead and promote the new Therapeutic Recreation program. The Program Director will be responsible for teaching, curriculum, accreditation, student advisement, internship supervision and administration of the program. In addition, the program director will participate in service and scholarship as required of all full time faculty. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both administrative and teaching experience with a desire to develop and lead future professionals in Therapeutic Recreation.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) in good standing.
Certified/licensed within MA or qualified to attain state certification/licensure.
Ability to uphold the university’s commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
Minimum of 3 years professional experience in Therapeutic Recreation or related field.
At least one year of direct service experience in Recreational Therapy/Therapeutic Recreation.
