Position: Recreation Therapist
Salary: Depends on experience
Duties: Keystone Treatment Center is a co-occurring substance use and mental health rehabilitation facility in Canton, SD. We have 120 patients here on 4 separate units. We have well over 40 years experience in the field! www.keystonetreatment.com
The recreational therapy position include activity coordination, therapeutic treatment planning, individual sessions, experiential groups (low ropes course training a plus!), patient exercise programs and teaching our adolescent and adult patients how to have fun in their recovery and use their leisure time to help in their journey to wellness.
Groups, individuals and lectures, as well as outings and activities are all apart of the daily job duties! You would work as a part of a treatment team including addiction and mental health counselors, nursing and medical staff, psychologist/psychiatrist and addictionologist.
Knowledge in addictions and mental health helpful, including some awareness of the 12 Steps, but not required. Will train the right candidate!!
This is a full time position, 8-4:30 with a rotating weekend schedule. (Usually works out to be once a month). Great benefits package!!
