Position: Assistant Director, BI Day and Community Services
Salary: $20-$22/hourly
Duties: 1. Manage day to day program operations in compliance with credentialing regulations and agency expectations.
2. Work with the Director, BI Day and Community Services, and In-Home Supports Program Manager to supervise staff, maintain performance evaluations and ensure staff trainings are current.
3. Work with the Director, BI Day and Community Services, and In-Home Supports Program Manager to interview, select, and train staff to meet service needs.
4. Manage internship placements, trainings and ensure standards are met.
5. Ensure upkeep of program facilities and program property in compliance with credentialing regulations and agency expectations.
6. Work with the Director, BI Day and Community Services, and In-Home Supports Program Manager to ensure daily staffing meets regulatory ratios and that staff productivity is maximized.
7. Provide coverage for staffing vacancies, as needed, to include direct services, group facilitation and managing a caseload.
8. Provide on-call consultation, staffing management and emergency shift coverage
for In-Home Supports Services.
9. Ensure accurate billing for services rendered and fiscally responsible programming/operations.
10. Ensure medications are being managed and administered per MAP.
11. Ensure all case notes, billing, files and reporting meets established deadlines.
12. Ensure the timely and sound response to, documentation and follow up of incidents.
13. Ensure all participant case records, service plans and delivery comply with credentialing regulations and agency expectations.
14. Maintain open lines of communication with participants and internal/external stakeholders.
15. Maintain applicable certifications/trainings and attend all trainings as requested.
16. Facilitate/attend and actively participate in all team meetings and supervision.
17. Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures.
18. Ensure that individuals we support are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates’ Human Rights policy.
19. Adhere to all principles related to the Advocates Way.
Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s degree in a human/rehabilitation services related field and at least two years of related experience in service coordination and developing and implementing teaching strategies for 1:1 and group formats with individuals with disabilities preferred.
2. Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
3. Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities.
4. Ability to execute a variety of decision-making models. Ability to demonstrate superior problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to set priorities and handle multiple simultaneous tasks, organizing, prioritizing, planning, sequencing and completing tasks independently.
6. Demonstrate strong computer skills using (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
7. Demonstrate strong oral and written skills (English proficiency) with participants, families, funding sources, consultants, the community at large, program and administrative team.
8. Demonstrate an ability to work independently and as part of a larger resource team.
9. High energy level and superior interpersonal skills.
10. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
11. Must hold a valid drivers’ license. Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport individuals.
