Hey there –
Thanks for reading Rec Therapy Today.
Danny Pettry: I’m at Jack Canfield’s (the co-creator of of Chicken Soup for the Soul) Breakthrough to Success (BTS) workshop in Philadelphia, PA. Jack is one of my favorite inspirational and motivational speakers.
Today was day # 2 of the training and it has been amazing!
Please note: I signed-up for the Jack’s (BTS) training last year. I knew I was going with the “soul” purpose for learning how to get our “Recreational Therapy” book projected created, published, and on the best-seller list. The ultimate vision for this project is to have Recreational Therapy a more well-known profession by the general public.
As a reminder to our suppoRTers who signed this petition: we are no longer petitioning Amy Newmark and Chicken Soup for the Soul to approve a book title about recreational therapy. They are obviously not willing to be open to the idea of Recreational Therapies making a difference in the lives of millions of people. I must admit I felt the real sing of pain when Amy Newmark blocked me from following her on twitter. But that is okay. Some will, some won’t. So what? Who is Next?
Our petition is now open for any awesome/ amazing book publishing company that wants to publish a book of inspirational stories about Recreational Therapy successes.
Amazing-Good news for our Recreational Therapy for the Soul book project.
When one door shuts (Amy Newmark’s Chicken Soup) another one surprisingly opened. As the old proverb goes: “It is said that the darkest hour of the night comes just before the dawn.”
I met Patty Aubery. She was the President of Chicken Soup for the Soul Enterprise, Inc. from 1997 until 2008 when they collectively sold the company.
Patty Aubery invited me 30-minute question and answer setting on Thursday and again on Friday. I’m real excited. I’m going to do my homework tonight and get a few questions written for her.
Patty is very warm, friendly, and caring. I appreciate her so much.
I feel confident that good things are going to happen with our Recreational Therapy book project.
I’ll keep you posted.
Your friend,
Danny.
P.s. we’ll keep you updated.
Ask a few more friends to sign our petition.
